Microsoft power point viewer question?

I have a few power points I need to look at and I am on a computer that isn't my own. This computer doesn't have power point installed. And the owner of the computer (Whom is my aunt) doesn't like it when I install things on her comp. She has it set up so that installation of programs requires authorization. My question is when I download the power point viewer will it install on her computer like a regular program? I have a flash drive with the power points on it and I was wondering if I put the power point viewer on the flash drive will i be able to see the power points? thank you.

According to this article if you have gmail (which is google email for those that don't know) it an open powerpoint presentations online without the need to download anything.
