Microsoft word help!!!!!?

Question

I'm using Microsoft office word and there's a little bar that is underlining my first word. The underline bar isn't on so what is it and how do i get rid of it? no useless answers please.

Depending on your version of Microsoft Word, it could be a spell check or grammar check indicator. Go to Tools, Options, Spelling and Grammar tab and check your settings.
