  1. On Microsoft Word 2007, on the home tab there is a little picture of an x with a 2 written in the usual way. Click this, and it will go up like you would write it.

On Word 2003, you need to highlight it, right click, click font, and the tick superscript.

  2. You can also insert it as symbol.

Go to Insert menu, select Symbol (or ALT+ I + S)

Font is "normal text" and subset "Latin-1"

Scroll down a little & you'll find the elevated no.2

    have fun!

  3. This is the easiest way:

    1. Select the text you want to make a superscript.

    2. Press CTRL/SHIFT/=

To make it normal text again, repeat the process.

To make a subscript, press CTRL/= instead.

    Hope that helps.

  4. What you are looking for is the subscript or superscript option.  Highlight the number you want to change and right click it.  Choose the font option then tick either superscript for upper or subscript for lower.

  5. There should be a button for Superscript and subscript.
