I accidentally microwaved a burrito wrapped in tin foil...I didn't know the wrapper had metal in it....it didn't look like it, but when I hit START, there were SPARKS and FLAMES. It was SCARY.

Did I damage or ruin the microwave ? Is it safe to use ???

  1. i have done this before too on accident and the microwave will be fine as long as you stopped the problem as soon as you caught that your burrito was sparking. just take it out of the wrapper next time lol.

  2. Yes, It should be fine. Just be sure that when you use it to watch it for any signs that it could start a fire or something related to that..

  3. microwave + tin foil = LOL!!!!!!!

nah should be safe to use i do it on a regular basis

  4. Scary is right.

DO NOT USE TIN FOIL IN THE microwave oven.

test it to see that it still works. Put in a glass dish with water

    and ask Mom.

be grateful it was not the dog.;o)

  5. lol there is nothing worse than a burnt burrito but your microwave should be all right maybe a bit schorched but still ok.

  6. Your microwave will be fine.  It is safe I do it all the time.

  7. i've done that several times before. but i knew it was foil. opps.

anyway, i've only broken one microwave, so as long as it works, it safe to use.
