Our Kenmore 1984 vintage micro-convection has had an intermittent problem for a long time. Using the same ceramic mugs everyday to reheat yesterday's coffee, occasionally the handle gets very hot and the liquid not as hot as usual. Same mugs, same liquids, same settings (no, convection not selected), different results. It's gone for months without the problem, then today twice in a row. Performance has otherwise been consistently flawless. Any idea what could cause this?
