Microwave dish/tray rotates intermittently.

hello,
i have a samsung model no CE118KF microwave.it's about six years old. of late the glass dish/tray stops rotating intermittently when the m/w is switched on.the fault is diagnosed as the motor going bad. should i go ahead and change the motor? also, the m/w heats up things very quickly now as compared to earlier.the glass tray/or any vessel get very hot even with just a minute of heating which was not the case before. any corelation with my motor problem? please advise. grateful for your time on this.
