The night light bulb on my Whirlpool MH1150xm microwave burned out. I went to change the bulb but when I twisted, the bulb was broke loose from the metal part that screws into the socket. Filament wires touched and popped and shorted. Now the control panel works but nothing will turn on. light, vent fan, magnetron, nothing. Is it fried? Circuit board? The warranty is only good on the magnetron but I don't think that's the problem. Thanks

  1. I have fixed thousands of m/w when you change the bulbs you should have unplugged it. What you did is you burnt a spot on the board. Unplug and remove board look close and you will see the spot, scrape the clear coat off the board in this area and solder a small wire in its place. you will find the board cost about what a new oven does. you got it right you shorted the board!

  2. Hi,Did you check the circuit that feeds the microwave? You may have blew the fuse at your feed box.good Luck
