  1. You should not be in there that capacitor is part of the high voltage system at around 4800v dc since a diode is used in that circuit. That cap can get over charged and store power even when the equipment is not plugged in. And jumping out fuses is not a smart ideal. I have never seen a fuse between the transformer and cap.You should take it to somebody who knows how to trouble shoot!

  2. Get a new one, there are like 20 bucks at walmart. Without that fuse your gonna burn your house down!!!!!!

  3. Definitely replace the fuse.  The first time you begin heating something and a fault causes it to start drawing excess current, is the day you wish you had.

We are talking the whole thing up in smoke and maybe the surrounding area or worse, the house.

Even if you can't replace the fuse at least use the same rated fuse wire.

  4. It should be ok. maybe it was loose or something

  5. If it wasn't meant to have a fuse they wouldn't of put one in it. It could prevent something very bad from happening. I wonder what caused it to fail in the first place.
