I need some suggestions from people who own something like this.

I have found a 2000 range rover and a 2004 lincoln aviator, but I'm concerned about gas prices.

Any suggestions and reasons why would be helpful! thank you!

  1. it depends on your budget, but some nice mid size SUVs with room and a nice price and fuel economy would be...

-Toyota Highlander- smaller than competitors but easier to manuever and comes in hybrid (27mpgcity/25mpghighway)

-Honda Pilot- tons of space/utility, but slower and only moderatly effecient

-Mazda CX-9- tons of room, quick, agile, and sporty, but thirsty

-Saturn Outlook- huge inside, many creature comforts, decent economy, but kind of bland

-also if you don't need three rows then there are tons of nice smaller SUVs that are surprisingly roomy and great on gas, such as...

-Toyota RAV4-powerful, agile, roomy, comes in three rows too

-Honda CRV- well equipped, reliable, great build quality

-Mitsubishi Outlander- sporty, carlike, comes in three rows

-Nissan Rouge- sporty, quick, agile, carlike, well appointed, fuel efficient

... any of the last choices will get you great gas milage and the bigger SUVs get much better mileage than a full size SUV and offer surprising amounts of space... be sure to research on Edmunds.com before making a decision

  2. If your are concered about gas prices I wouldn't think of these options at all.

The less gas people buy in america the more the price will go down.

If you have noticed gas has dropped about $0.40 because the demand has dropped.

If people really want low gas prices.

Thats the first thing to do, buy less gas it's that simple.

  3. Look into the new Ford Flex, similar body style as a Range Rover (lol) but economical. If you are concerned with gas, do not get the range rover.. my mom has one and my fiance has one and unless youre looking to spend $105 every week and 1/2 to fill it up do not consider it.
