Question:

Middle Initial Question?

I purchased a U.S. Airways ticket, and included my middle initial where prompted. When I got my confirmation, it came with the Middle initial together with my first name - so rather than BRIAN R., it was BRIANR.

Is this how US Airways operates with middle names, or is this an error? Thanks!

  1. If a person's surname (i.e., last name) is composed of two words, for example, Sanchez Garcia, on an airline ticket, it would come up as SANCHEZGARCIA as one word, on all airlines.

I'm not usually prompted to enter a middle name, but it looks that it is similar to the surname thing, so absolutely nothing to worry about.

They even attach the title, Mr. sometimes to the first name as one word.

    Have a nice trip!

  2. You will be completely fine, but if you makes you feel better, you can always call US Airways and ask them to resend your confirmation correctly; but you will be fine, considering you'll have an ID to back it up anyway.
