Middle Inner vs Middle Outer Forearm blocking in ITF Tae Kwon Do?

Hi, I'm a white belt (9th gup) ITF Tae Kwon Do student and am supposed to be practicing my blocks for stripe grading this week but I can't seem to remember the execution differences between a Middle Outer Forearm block and a Middle Inner Forearm block. Can anyone give a detailed explanation of the differences? Not sure if there is a WTF-ITF name difference or not but that is what the two moves are called in ITF.

I know the middle inner forearm block is the one used in the Chon Ji pattern but I can't find a good example of the outer block and it is the only fundamental skill on my test I am still unsure of. I would have preferred to ask my instructor but I am missing a blocking class due to work and don't want to fall 2 weeks behind the rest of the class in grading if I can help it. Thanks.

  1. I don't know anything about TKD, but don't fixate on the belt and testing. Ask your instructor because more than likely you wont get a good answer here. Regardless of what people tell you, a belt means little, the knowledge is important..

  2. Outer form blocks, the wrist faces out away from your body, and the inner form blocks, they face towards the body.  Good Luck.

  3. look up tae kwon do on expertvillage.com and thiers a guy that will have it. i personally garenty it! i made my cousins practise it :)
