Middle School Locker?

My locker is hard to open. Everyone near me either doesn't get it on the 1-2-3 time or gets it really fast and im never the last person but today was my first day and i loved it but i had 6 periods (2 emptys) and i had to ask a teacher for help 3 of those 6 classes! Here's how you open the locker;

Right to the first number;

Left all the way around then on the second time stop at the second number;

Right again to the last number and walla!

Do you think i could be doing it wrong, does it matter how i open it? HELP!? Tricks? Do you think its jammed? Because i can open it sometimes but i've asked two friends that are next to me and they tried and got it am i opening it wrong?!

P.S. i cann open my Gym locker MAD EASY!

Rig it. when you open your locker there should be this thing on the inside where you pull up. it has a little hole that you can like stick a pencil in. do that and you won't need to do the combo.

What part is getting stuck?  The lock or the locker itself?

The way I was always taught how to open typical combination locks was:

1. Spin the lock right a few times to 'reset' it-- then spin right to the first number.

2. Spin the lock left, make sure you pass zero, and stop at the second number.

3. Spin the lock right to reach the third number.

If the locker itself is getting jammed, you should ask the school to reassign you a new one.  I'm in college and we choose our own lockers because half of them are bent or broken from overuse.
