  1. Your going to be in harder classes yes but you will be with the same people as you always have been. Really its like nothing has changed and the upper clansmen never really have anything to do with the 6th graders unless their friends. so really its just like any other time except you have a diffrent building

  2. Advice for getting good grades & getting along with your teacher:

    -keep an organized notebook

    -take notes in class

-study your notes and do your homework

-ask your teacher questions if you don't understand something (ask before class or after class if you don't want to ask in front of your friends)

-don't talk in class while the teacher is talking

    Advice for making friends:

-be yourself...don't try to hard (don't be really loud & try to be too funny)

    -shower every night

-make sure that your clothes match

-wear some cute earrings that match your clothes

-most of the popular kids wear Aeropostale, American Eagle, Hollister, Abrocrombie etc... These stores are expensive, but you can buy these same brands at Plato's Closet at a way cheaper price (look on the internet & find out if there is a Plato's closet near you)

-pray that your nerves will calm down

  3. Carry your class schedule with you everywhere you go.  You could even make a copy of it in case you lose it.  Make notes on it to help you remember where your classes are.  Remember where your locker is, write down your combination, and know which lunch period you have.

Other than that there's nothing to be worried about.  I thought I would get shoved into lockers but that never happened.  Don't worry, you'll be fine.

  4. this what i do i just cut my class schedule and tape it into my agenda

  5. I am going into 8th grade.  One thing to remember is that everyone else is freaked out, too.  Play it cool. 6th grade was my favorite FAVORITE year.  And you know how all the 5th grade teachers say, "you'll have more homework in 6th grade, the teachers won't stand for this in 6th grade," and so on.  Don't get scared by that.  Homework is actually worse in 5th grade because they try to "prepare" you for 6th grade.  For a lot more advice, read the book, "A Smart Girl's Guide to Middle School" from American Girl.

  6. whatever you do play it cool, don't be all stressed out. When i started 6th grade it was kinda scary for about 2days but then i started to take in everything.but if you have a question ask your counselor, teacher, parent or find a older student (rather than your sister) to help you out. BEST OF LUCK!!

  7. Well, its not really what everyone makes it out to be. When you get to middle school, you might notice how the day seems to go by faster, and how everything goes by fast. Each year in middle school goes by faster than the last, and before you know it, its over! Also, your teacher might have told you that you would get much more homework in middle school.(I know mine did) Don't worry about that, because its not true. As a matter of fact, you probably won't get homework everyday, besides a reading log. The only thing you might have to worry about is being late to classes. In elementary, I remember coming late all the time and it was no big deal. But you'll probably spend a lot of time in the dean's office if you do that in middle school. lol. hope that helped.
