  1. Sit facing a wall with your legs in the middle splits as far as you can go. Press slowly against the wall. This should help.

  2. Stretching and balance.

    Strength helps too. :]

  3. I am a gymnast and can do my left split but for some reason not my right. But especially not my middle

  4. My dance teacher told me that some peoples hip joints just cant go down after a certian amount. Like me I've been working on my middle splits for three years now, I stretch out every single day and I still can't get down any further. It because of the rotation in your hip or something like that so some people will never be able to get thier middle splits because after a certian point its not muscle anymore its bone.

  5. Just stretch and keep trying everyday, you'll get it eventually.

  6. Ok. I'm a dancer, and a Gymnast. What you want to do, is work on wall splits first. do them where you are sitting(best if in a dance room, where there are bars to pull you closer, and mirrors to see if you are sitting straight up) and ones where you are laying on your back, butt on the wall, and your legs are flat against the wall also.

Point your toes at all times. this will keep your legs straight, as long as your toes are pointed correctly.

  7. in my dance class we learned that when most ppl do splits ur back

is a little forward so ur hips can go all the way down.

so roll forward when doing ur splits it gets you down more
