Middle Tyger win Women’s and Men’s 200m freestyle relay titles - 2011 YMCA Long Course Nationals
The squad of Middle Tyger dominated day five with their scintillating efforts at the 2011 YMCA Long Course Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday, July 29.
The session of the long course meet conducted both the Women’s and Men’s 200m freestyle relay finals. Initially, Middle Tyger’s team of Ali Snover, Morgan Brooks, Molly Willingham and Katrina Konopka snatched the Women’s 200m freestyle relay crown with a
winning time of 1 minute and 47.81 seconds.
The Wilton’s quartet of Katy Luchansky, Grace Hendee, Verity Abel and Madeline Smart captured the silver medal with an impressive time of 1 minute and 48.32 seconds. Meanwhile, Anastasia Bogdanovski, Sarah Cronin, Gabriella Levine and Hannah Markey of Fanwood
Scotch snared the bronze medal with a time of 1 minute and 49.26 seconds.
Subsequently, Door County wound up fourth in a time of 1 minute and 50.62 seconds, while Upper Main Line was placed fifth in 1 minute and 50.84 seconds. Laurel Highlands earned sixth spot with a time of 1 minute and 50.95 seconds, whereas, Sun Coast finished
seventh in 1 minute and 50.96 seconds. Somerset Valley settled eighth in 1 minute and 51.60, whereas, Powel Crosley grabbed ninth spot in 1 minute and 51.82 seconds. B R Ryall was placed tenth in 1 minute and 51.92 seconds.
The Men’s 200m freestyle relay title was taken over by Middle Tyger with a sterling time of 1 minute and 36.38 seconds. The team included Robert Borowicz, David Ingraham, Jared Kauffman and Justin Mehl.
In the meantime, New Canaan’s squad of Jason Potter, Ian Robert, John Santoro and Jack Forese took home the silver medal with a winning time of 1 minute and 36.67 seconds. Connor Maher, Kyle Neri, Joseph Shepley and Luke Zalewski of Cheshire captured the
bronze medal with a time of 1 minute and 37.99 seconds.
Subsequently, Somerset Valley earned four place honours with a time of 1 minute and 38.09 seconds, while Upper Main Line finished fifth in a time of 1 minute and 38.30 seconds. Fanwood Scotch settled sixth in 1 minute and 38.38 seconds.
Sun Coast wound up seventh in 1 minute and 38.74 seconds, whereas, East Suburban was placed eighth in 1 minute and 39.03 seconds. North Short finished ninth in 1 minute and 39.26 seconds, while Red Bank earned tenth position in a time of 1 minute and 40.00
seconds.
Additionally, Middle Tyger won the Men’s 400m Medley relay crown with an impressive time of 3 minutes and 54.41 seconds. Cheshire grabbed silver in 3 minutes and 56.01 seconds, while Red Bank snatched bronze in 3 minutes and 56.50 seconds.
Moreover, Middle Tyger snared the Women’s 400m Medley relay title with a sterling time of 4 minutes and 23.04 seconds. Gr Holyoke secured silver in 4 minutes and 23.24 seconds, while Wilton grabbed bronze in a time of 4 minutes and 25.30 seconds.
