Middle ages and the ocean going ships?

what is the history on ocean going ships? does anyone know? I need some help so im counting on all you. =]

If you are talking about the middle ages you are talking about sailing ships, though the Vikings crossed the Atlantic in boats that were rowed as well as sailed.  The Greeks and Romans ventured onto the Mediterranean in large vessels that were rowed by slaves.  Many of the ships that crossed the Atlantic in the early days of exploring the New World had been previously used as trading ships.    There are numerous links that will give you the history of sailing ships.  Have a look at these.  They will give you lots of information.  I hope it is of some help.
