  1. im not sure if your a guy or a girl??? so im just going to answer that could apply to both. i started middle school two years ago

its easy!!! very dramatic for girls because thats when they start puberty. for guys its pretty easy, and you really dont have to worry the worst that could happen is being made fun of for being week. for girls, dont get caught up in all the designer stuff and labels.

dating is fun, but it can ruin your frienship with the guy/girl once its over, so i really dont think its worth it but its your choice.

seriously it doesnt matter what people wear so wear whatever you want!!!!

at my school they had a first day of school orientation for the 6th graders. so before the first day of school they have a first day of school walk through. you meet with 8th graders and they show you around. then you go to each of your classes and learn about what will happen throughout the school year. between we had a pizza lunch in the cafeteria.

getting lost wont happen much trust me! it really is easy!

    hope i helped

  2. There is nothing too worry about! Trust me :). I'm going into 7th grade and last year was probably my best year yet. I had a lot of friends in upper grades. Moving on to your actual question, the first thing we did was obviously get off the bus and then teachers were telling us to go to the cafeteria (they showed us were we were) and we sat there through a speech by the Principal and they he introduced the homeroom teachers and when he called your teacher we went up and went to homeroom. Then we got our schedules, talked to people in our homeroom and then took a tour of the school they practiced our locker combinations, ate lunch and took another tour......then all done! :). I covered basically everything. There you go! Have fun. :P

  3. i read your question and remembered my first year of middle school. im going to be a freshmen in a week so i know how you feel.

the first thing i did when i got to school, was i went straight to my homeroom....

then the bell rang and i asked my teacher where my next class was ( i didnt even go to orientation due to the fact that my parents planned an unexpected trip to canada!). in each of my classes they read the student rule book to us and then the teachers talked about themselves and we got to know everyone.

    some tips for middle school:

    - dont act like youre the boss (the 8th graders hate it when lil sixth graders come and think theyre so cool...just plain annoying)

    - pay attention in each of your classes and take good notes (if you think something your teacher said is important, write it down!)

    - stay organized ( write your hw in your planner as soon as your teachers tell you, and dont shove papers in your backpack...keep everything prim and proper...itll save you time when you have to turn in your assignments)

    - dont be shy ( make new friends...i remember in middle school there were so many cliques, but if you speak up and be your self, youll do great!)

    - do after-school clubs or activities ( get involved...whether its the math club or volleyball after school...DO IT! youll have fun and enjoy school even more...its another way to make great friends)

    - choose right friends ( dont make friends that slack off and get failing grades....remember you'll end up in a great university while they struggle in community college)

WELL GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE I HELPED! TRUST ME, MIDDLE SCHOOL IS FUN, SO MAKE THE BEST OUT OF IT AND DONT LET THE OLDER KIDS PUSH YOU AROUND....!

  4. Take care of yourself! You're entering the 3rd chapter of your life, it will be fun and exciting, but sometimes things can be a bit too much. Don't freak out if you get tense, take a minute for yourself.

Great ways to relax after a hard day:

Get moving, exercise can help blow off steam, and it allows you to have some time to think things out on your own. And it will totally help you keep fit and happy.

    Like books? Read!

Love the spa? Take a bubble bath, paint your nails, beautify! It's relaxing and great for your self esteem!

Any web surfers? Get on-line and chat with friends, talk it out, or just play mindless games, watch videos, whatever makes you happy.

You decide, whatever makes you happy!

In Junior High you have to work a bit harder to keep yourself in tact. But no worries girls, you'll take extra care, you feel extra better! :)

Here are some tasks that you might consider adding to your routine:

Cleansing your face (morning and night)

Applying deodorant (a small task, but definitely helps you to be less self conscious)

Nail care (clipping, buffing, filing, polishing, etc.)

Extra hair care (your hair might begin to get a bit oily)

Makeup ***optional*** contrary to popular belief, you do not NEED to wear makeup, but if it makes you feel better about yourself, natural shades are just fine. Lip gloss, clear mascara, and powder are a great makeup routine for girls to start with, no parent wants there baby to grow up too fast, and you have to start small and work your way up when it comes to makeup, so no rush.

A word to the wise: you are youthful, and so is your body! Now it might hurt your, or daddy's, piggy bank a bit, but it's important to avoid buying inexpensive beauty products that are loaded down with chemicals. Your face is not yet used to these chemicals most likely, and you don't want to dry your skin out. Coming from a sister with extremely sensitive skin, I have had poor experiences with this. Try to avoid acne products if you don't have acne, these products are made for when you need to dry up your skin, pronto. If that's not the case, just cleanse and moisturize and your all good. I recommend Burt's Bees' products as they are nearly 100 percent all natural, and are also available in drug stores. :)

Stay on track with your schoolwork. The new social scene is pretty new and fun, but don't forget to study too. It's great to get used to taking notes, because throughout Junior High and beyond, that shall always covet the girl with the understandable notes. And keep a planner, so you'll never forget another due date. Don't be afraid to ask questions and get help if you need to. It's better to get things as you go along, then to be too shy to ask and end up super confused at the end of the day. And remember, school studies can be fun too. Get a study group together, start the study at Starbucks Club for your BFFs before a test. But don't forget that while study groups are fun, you should still learn from each other, don't miss a great opportunity to catch up on that Pre- Algebra you never quite got. The most important thing to do to stay on track. Get sleep! Falling asleep in class is the easiest way to fall behind. And falling behind means more work at home, NOT FUN!

Get your attitude in line for the next couple years. With all the hormones rushing through your system, it's very good to get your attitude in shape. You are entering a new chapter of your life, so clear away previous baggage as much as you can, it will hold you back. Keep a positive outlook on your new lifestyle, nobody wants to be around miss Debbie Downer. Socialize with others and respect their beliefs, middle school is when a lot of tweens and young teens are finding themselves, so don't be judgmental. Everyone wants to be liked for who they truly are. Complement the commonly forgotten and you'll have yourself a troupe of TRUE friends in no time.

And don't forget there is a fine line between being confident and being conceited. Entering Jr. High you will feel like queen of the world, excited about being with more mature kids, lockers, and a lot more independence. This is great, but don't forget that there will be a whole other group of teens and tweens who have moved up a level. And just as you thought you were the coolest kids in the last year of your elementary school, being the oldest, these kids will think they are hot stuff! And don't blame them for this. They have gained a lot of experience over there past years at the school. In short, they've paid there dues, soon you'll be bumped up, and be idolized the same way. But for now, relax, and be content with your status as part of the middle school team. Also, please don't hate on other girls. They don't need this. You don't need the drama that will surface when gossip spreads. And speaking of drama...

Avoid drama! This means no hating, no clique clashes, no cat fights, no drugs, no s*x, nada! A bad reputation is your worst enemy in middle school, as gossip now spreads faster than the speed of light. Although, most drama seems to come with dating. No don't lie, most girls have had a time in there life when they thought, "I can't wait to grow up! In Junior High ______ will be my boyfriend, we'll be such a cute couple, can't wait to date!" Puppy love is cute, but don't be pressured to start dating or do anything you're uncomfortable talking about with your Grandpa before you're ready. But I won't lie, with all the perks of a happy relationship, comes the drama of protecting your baby from any harm, or potential competition. Things can turn catty. So keep an open mind, and listen to yourself. Most catty conversations will ring the immature bell in your head, so listen for it and know your morals and when things have gotten out of hand...

Be yourself! Cliche, but true! Your soul is like a bottle. When you don't let anything out and express yourself, you keep everything inside. When you keep everything pent up in your bottle, there's no room to take anything in. And who knows? Junior High could be the happiest years of your life. So let loose, have fun, and express yourself! :D

  5. I AM SO SORRY TO RUIN UR FIRST EXPERIENCE BUT MIDDLE SCHOOL IS A BYTCH IM IN HIGH SCHOOL NOW - IF YOU DON'T GO IN MIDDLE SCHOOL WITH FRIENDS THEN IT DETERMINDS UR LIFE TILL SENIOR YEAR ITS NOT LIKE elementary where making friends is easy. people stay in clicks so they are not looking for new friends but the trick to it all to have a great experience, dress nice, talk to the lonner/ geek they will prob. turn out to be ur best friends, and get a boyfriend and you will be the most popular kid in middle school one single mistake and that messes up ur life SERIOUSLY!

  6. i'm going to college for the first time in two weeks. which is scarier, college or 6th grade. i'm gonna go with college. relax. you are worried about nothing.

  7. to tell you the truth, this is what happened:

for the 6th grade, we had an orientation, no 7th or 8th graders. Then we met in the cafeteria, we sat with our homeroom ( there were lists on the tables), then the assis principal talked to us, then we went to homeroom, talked a little about school, then we got our schedule and went to our classes for like 10 minutes. then in between, we went to what they called lunch, which was really cookies and milk (lol). then continued. then we ended.

    BUT that's my school,.

also here are some heads up that you may want to know:

try to make friends, there are ttly new ppl that you don't know

stay away from preppy people ( eyeliner wearing hollister abercrombie wearing freaks. btw, they wear hollister and abercrombie EVERY SINGLE DAY, but its ok to wear them once in a while)

if you are developed, be proud, if you look older, be proud. because really, in my head, i laugh at the ppl who look like they are in the 3rd grade

gym, changing. don't worry. there are no changing stalls, get used to it, but occasionally, a horny boy may come in and try to get a glimpse, but that is RARE, and in my school, it only happened once.

  9. Middle school was the best. I have currently left middle school and I am going on to High school in September.

4 years of middle school went so fast.

I got lost around the school because I thought it was so big but compared to the High school I am going to soon it is tiny.

They get much stricter than first school.

    Good luck at starting.

  10. Congratulations on graduating elementary school. The first day of middle school is going to be so exciting, just like it is for everybody. The very first thing I did on the very first day was I found out my homeroom number from this lady standing outside, went to my homeroom, and then my homeroom teacher explained the school schedule, gave us papers for our parents to sign, and gave us our agendas with hall passes, and showed us our lockers. After that, we went to the auditorium for the beginning of the year speech. Then we went to some of our classes.  During the summer, I was so excited about going to middle school, and now that I finished my first year, I cant wait for seventh grade.

6th grade is so different from elementary school. Here are some differences

More Work-Teachers often view the students as young adults. This means that your assignments and tests will be harder. In addition to your nightly dose of homework, you may also have papers and exams for the first time. The workload may seem overwhelming, but your teachers will probably understand that you are still adjusting.

The Lockers-Most likely, the hallways are lined up with lockers. One of them will be like your own home base during the day. Instead of putting all your jackets and book bags on those little hooks in the classroom in elementary, you now have a place to put everything so its not that easy for people to steal things. The best part of having a locker is being able to decorate it and make it really nice. The worst part is that sometimes, you may get a locker next to a person you don't really enjoy being around. In this case, ask your teacher if you can switch lockers with somebody.

On Schedule-A different class in a different room every hour with different classes on different days, with different teachers? It can get pretty hard the first couple of weeks, but you will have it down in no time

Bye Bye Recess-In elementary school, recess was probably your favorite part of the day, but now that its gone, you might have a study hall to replace it.

School Clubs-One of the best parts of middle school is the chance to get involved in school sports and after school clubs. Extra-Curriculars are a great way to make friends and have lots of fun.
