I am going to a different middle school than all of my friends, and it is a private school. Any tips?

1. Do you keep your book bag in your locker, or do you carry it with you class to class?

2. What happens if you don't get your combination right?

3. How do you know which way to turn (left, right) and how many times do you turn it? (for combination)

4. Do I keep my gym uniform in my book bag or locker?

5. When I need help with something, and the teacher is doing something on the board, should i ask the teacher or someone next to me?

6. what is the best way to make friends?

7. In class, should i sit in the front row, middle row, or back row?

8. Do we have permanent seats in class?

also any other good advice. thanks!

  1. 1. Keep your book bag in your locker, but try not to get a book bag that rolls, since its hard to fit into the locker

    2. Ask someone for help

    3. Depends on the school. My school has a card that had the combination and which way to turn it.

    4. The girls locker room has lockers in it for clothes

    5. Wait until the teacher is done and then ask the teacher

    6. Be yourself and dont be rude

    7. Middle row

    8. Depends on the teachers seating chart

I just finished my first year of middle school and its pretty fun except for all the work of course.

The food gets better in middle school too!!!!!

  2. 1. More than likely in you're locker.

2.You just turn it a few times to clear it, and Try again.

3.Well this is kind of hard to explain. Say it is 10-23-45

    Go Right to 10

Go left and go past 23 once, then land on it.

Then Go right strait to 45.

4.You will more than likely keep it in you're locker, then grab it before gym.

5.Ask the teacher most likely, It may be disruptive to Ask someone else. Don't be afraid to ask question!

6.Just talk to people and Don't be obnoxious or full of you're self.

    7. I'd sit in the middle, unless you can't see the board. Then sit tword the front.

    8. You will probably have assigned seats after the first week.

    But they'll change every semester!

  3. 1.  I carry my book bag with me from class to class. But if you feel like it's too heavy or something, it's good to leave it in your locker.

    2.  At my school, if you don't get your combo right, you can just try again.

    3.  The lockers are different at different schools. Don't worry. You'll get used to it. Don't worry about lockers, I didn't even use a locker in sixth grade.

    4.  I kept my gym uniform in my backpack. Because I didn't have a lot of space in my locker.

    5.  Raise your hand, and wait for the teacher to call on you. Don't interrupt the teacher.

    6.  Don't worry about making friends. Be yourself!

    7.  It depends on who you are. I am kind of shy, so I always sit near the back. But if you really like to pay attention and contribute to the lesson by raising your hand, you should sit in the front. If you can't decide, I would recommend sitting in the middle.

    8.  Premanent seats? It depends on the teacher. Most of my teachers give us permanent seats, but not all.

Don't worry about middle school. It's a lot of fun. Just be yourself and gave fun!

  4. Sweet heart, stop worrying. The will tell you what to do, don't worry. You'll be fine.

  5. I went to a private middle school when I was younger. It is not that much different from a public school, just the workload may be more challenging. You should wait until the first day of school to see what is availalbe, i.e. lockers.

In some schools, the combination lock is built-in the locker so the administration will give you the instructions to the combination. If there is no built-in combination, you can always purchase a lock (the instructions are included). Also, be cautious of what you do put in your lockers. DO NOT put anything valuable in there because locks can be broken. However, you should keep your gym clothes in your locker. I highly doubt that anyone wants to steal gym clothes. Plus, gym clothes are replaceable.

As I stated before, private schools are known to have a much more challenging academia than public schools. You shouldn't stress about where you should sit in the class because you are still going to get the same information. Also, assigned seats stops after elementary school. Unless your teacher assigns seats to the class, you pretty much seat anywhere you please.

Last, but certainly not least, making friends. Being the new kind is scary, but you'll get over it. Strike up a conversation with someone who seems to be helpful. Saying something like,"Hey, I'm new here. Can you tell me how to get around," is the first step to making new friends. Think of it this way: how did you and your old friends become friends?

I hope this advice was helpful. Have fun at your new school.

P.S. I am in my early 20s, so it wasn't that long ago since I've been in middle school :-)

  6. 1-Locker

    2-at my school we don't locker Locke's

    3-i have no idea

    4-i'd say locker

5-ask the teacher unless she/he says so

6-just sit next to the older classmen

    7-i'd say middle row.

8-it all depends cause in 6th grade LA we had perenment seat then this past year in 7th grade we got to move at the end of every nine weeks.

    9-just be yourself.

  7. 1.I personally carry my bookbag but u can leave it in your locker or it may depend on what the school wants

    2. if the lock is built into the locker your teacher will tell you the combination so if you get it wrong you can ask one of them for help. If you have to take your own lock write down the combinationand keep it somewhere safe (just in case)

    3. turn right 3 times and stop at the first number, turn left passed the second number once then stop onm it when you get to it again then turn right to last number. You get used to it

4.you may have gym lockers if you have to change if you do leave it there each time you have gym if not keep it in your regular locker until close to when you have gym then keep it in your locker.

I'm sure the first few days they will answer most of these questions

but where you should sit is like the middle row but if you have permanent seats && you dont like it

ask the teacher if he/she could move you b/c

    the kids are disruptive

    or

    you can't see the board

&& if you have a question ask the teacher b/c

    thats there job
