Middle school dance

SOOOOOOOOO i heard that thee week we go back to school we have a dance so wat do i wear? do we acutally dance? if we do dance HOW do we dance?? what do people do at dance oh yea and i like in cali so our midle school is 7th and 8th grade

Wear something nice but not like a dress. Wear a nice top and either a skirt or nice black jeans or dress pants.

wear bermuda shorts because short shorts are too S****y but jeans are too hot. yes actually dance because those kids that just chill and eat at dances are hella annoying. And if it's a theme dance then def go with the theme.

My school has about 3 dances a year, and they are after school. Most people wear what they wore to school. Girls usually put on more makeup, or change into something more comfortable. But sometimes there are groups of girls that wear the same thing almost, Shorts, with a vest and tee shirt underneath, some with fishnets for a Rock'n'Roll themed dance. We had a 70's dance too and alot of people wore brightly colored shirts. Some of us made out own shirts, decorating them and cutting them up as much as we want. So theres an idea, if there is a theme to the dance play around with it.My friends went crazy at the Rock'n'Roll dance and wore FULL costumes with big jackets, heavy makeup and all that stuff.

I keep things simple, shorts and two layers of shirts for a little more color,cause it get HOT with all the dancing. My friends dance in a circle so we can talk before it gets too loud.  All the posers at my school start a grinding line in the middle of the dance floor. Once a  space opened up in the middle and two guys were freaking, it was funny. The couples dance in a forward grind(idk what to call it).You dont talk too much, the music practically gets twice as loud when the dancing gets crazy.

At my school, slow dance does not exist.So if you dont know how to dance just try to have fun, at my first dance i didnt know how to dance at all and my friends called me a dead fish cause i was just standing there. Dont be surprised if a guy comes up behind you, go with the flow you can leave whenever you want, unless you like him of coarse.

Just for a heads up, everyone is closely packed in, even though are gym is huge. So you can get lost, or stuck there with people you dont really know.That happened to me once...its easy to avoid.

I wouldn't know what to wear. All of the middle school dances at my school were right after school, so we just wore our school clothes.

and no, you really don't dance.

Everyone kind of breaks off into social groups and just hangs out.

my middle school is 7th and 8th too. to our dances, everyone dresses casual. it's usually hot so shorts and t'shirts are good. most people don't dance too much. the music will be loud so you can sing along too. just move your body to the beat and you'll be fine. people will slow dance too so if someone you like is there go for it. well, watch out for people who try to grind you... cause middle school guys do that. overall, they're a lot of fun!

you poor dear. your begging for answers. some dance some hangout with ppl. try to do a little of both. and wear something you would normally wear, only try to look cuter, but dont dress up. and play around with makeup and hair. you'll look hott, then meet a guy to dance with and then hang out with hima nd his friends and your friends, haha, age old secret. works like a charm. plus ur friends can get with his if their all dateless.

im an upcoming freshamn so im fresh out of middle school. the dances are lameeee. dont sweat it what you where except dont wear a skirt. i did my first middle school dance and i regret it.

nobody really notices what you wear so just whatever you feel comfortable dancing in. i no it seems scary but as soon as your there for ten minutes its totally fine. soo dont sweat it its no big deal. =]

Jeans and a cute top. Nothing too crazy. They'll probably tell you what to wear. Most of the time they have themes.

Most kids don't dance or, if they do, they dance in a circle. The more sexually active kids go into the middle of the circles and grind; usually the eighth graders.

Just move to the music. See what the other kids are doing. It's no big deal. People usually dance with their friends.

I live in California, too, and I was in middle school not too long ago.

yes well atleast at my dances we dance: when you dance play with your hair sometimes my friends grind but basically just move to the rythm of the music you will be fine :) but it is kind of hiphop and it flows. maybe a little jazzy!

their may also be slow dancing and thats easy you sway to the music with your boy :) they are usually nervious so dont be scared!

At dances you dance,talk, and might even slow dance with boys, some times their are games and fun activities... their are usually snack and tons of fun if everybody goes :)

some fun things  to do before the dance is getting ready with friends its fun their is gossip laugh and memories.

also when walking in the dance it isn ot as intimidationg when you have your friends with you.!

I dont have a dance until october, but i love them remember relax stay calm
