Middle school plays i can suggest to my teacher?

when i get back to school i absolutely want to be in the school play and i want to give good play for my teacher to consider. i doubt anyone will wanna do hsm...or anyone will enjoy it.. so thats outa the picture. we need a play that has a set that isnt complex. cuz last year we did charlie and the chocolate factory and basically the set and the play sucked :(.

my teachers like to do plays that rnt famous. theyve only done like 2 that are well known. so plz give me plays thtll be fun to watch and do but not so complicated. thx :)

Night of the Pterodactlys

I played Carly in this when I was in middle school. It had themes that teachers seem to enjoy, the set wasn't complicated at all, and it was really fun. Another good thing is that it is definitely not something done often. I believe we were the only drama studio in New England that had performed it at the time.

i agree with no HSM...its too overdone

I wouldn't suggest a musical..they are too expensive

Why not try and regular straight play..one with a good ensemble cast.

A Company of Wayward Saints is a great one...

Rumors, The Senator Wore Pantyhose, The Odd Couple, Noises Off, and maybe Black Comedy

No HSM?

Well, that was going to be my first suggestion, considering the age level. But the set is very comlicated, and if the actor's hearts aren't in it, then there's no point.

This year we did "Rehearsal for Murder," which is a murder mystery that is a play within a play. It's not a musical, so kids who can't sing well but can act can be in it.

I will continue to search for something appropiate, yet fun.

there is one that i did in middle school that like no one has heard of but its really funny! its called If Today Is the First Day of the Rest of My Life, Im in Real Trouble! its really funny and a lot of fun! we all had a lot of fun doing it!
