Middle school to high school?

why is it that i didnt freak out before middle school but im freaking out over high school?

like im gonna be a sophmore this year and i cant wait til skool starts.

i remember last year, around this time, i was lik rele scared about goin to hs, but then i had a great year!...

dnt worry about goin to hs, jus remember to be urself!...=)

well maybe cuz u there are kids alot older than u like 17 and some 18 year olds and u are like 12 13 or 14 and u think they might be mean to u and cuz ur gonna be a freshman and u think the upperclassmen will bully u!!

Well in high school, things are a lot bigger. Like the students, teachers, and buildings. You also get more homework than junior high but don't let that get you down. Millions of students like you are entering high school for the first time. And it can be scary. But just relax. Just be yourself and you can make some life-long friendships. You can make some friends by joining in some after school clubs and sports. And also just by talking to the person beside of you. You can compliment on something they have to strike up a conversation. Also, in high school, you know you have more homework than junior high. So be prepared to do that. Be organized and don't procrastinate. Doing that will make you feel behind in your classes and you can't catch up. Just pay attention to your teacher's lectures, take good notes, and do your homework first before crashing onto the computer. Have a schedule with you or a to-do list. Prioritized your things and tackle big assignments one at a time. And have some fun too. High school is one of the best years of your life. Make it like that and you will enjoy high school.

When I was a sophomore, I was scared too. I was the shortest person in my high school. But I got used it and now, I'm used to being around taller people.

Well when you are going from elementary school to middle school it does not seem so big that you are going to a new school because all that new school is, is a new place with more people.

High school, on the other hand, is not only new but it is the place where you actually have to start getting your act together and make plans for your future. It is a humongous step and if you do not make the right choices, you may not be satisfied with your life. Also, the years in high school are said to be the best years of a person's life, this could also be a major freak out point for you.

Although people say it is the time of your life, do not worry. Trust me, high school is tough and you should not be pressured to have the time of your life. There are several other opportunities in life where you can have the time of your life.

Don't worry. I did too. I had no problem going to middle school- but I was so nervous when it came time to start high school.

A lot of the reason for me was because when I went to middle school, I was still going to have the same people I'd known since the 1st grade. I may not have had all the same classes with them, but they were still there, and there really weren't a lot of new people to get to know, plus, all the teachers were already known.

When I graduated and started high school, I was so nervous. I didn't know where any of my classes were, and I can't count how many times I was in the wrong room after the bell rang to start class. There were so many new people, and that feeling of being at the top of the totem pole (8th grade) was gone- I was now at the bottom again- a lowly Freshman. The halls were 10 times more crowded, the students were laughing and pushing and the seniors had senioritis the first week of school, causing them to constantly form baracades in the hallways, preventing students from passing by and getting to class on time.

Don't get me wrong though. I had some of the best experiences of my life when I was in high school. I met a ton of new people, the dances are 100 times better, and yeah, there was probably more homework than I was use to, but in the end, it wasn't worth the stress.

When it comes to that first day, you'll feel nervous. But take comfort in knowing that you're not the only one. Don't feel overwhelmed by the students who are older- in one year, that will be YOU- learn from their mistakes.

I probably didn't help you feel much better about starting high school, but I really hope you have as good of a time as I did. It really isn't something to stress about- after the first week, you'll feel like you've been there forever.

I tend to see kids freak over going to high school because you are exposed to so many more kids. therefore, you might feel like you are being judged more. Also, people tend to get more conscious about there looks as they get closer to high school, therefore you might feel awkward having so many people talk about what your wearing. You might also stress because the teachers wont treat you like babies any more.  You may think they wont forgive you for making a mistake because they think you've been through it before.

Probably because every teen drama on TV revolves around high school. And they don't depict it very well.

Trust me. Been there, done that, and although everyone's already telling you this, it's no big deal. As soon as you make a friend (which happens in like the first hour of school) you'll feel right at home. Just remember, everyone's nervous on their first day. You'll probably be one of the brave ones! Haha. Anyway, the best advice I have for you is to NOT act like you're an upperclassman. Really. This annoys the c**p out of them, and you don't want to tick someone off who's four years older than you. So enjoy being a freshman.

Don't stress too much about high school. For me, it wasn't much different from middle school. There were just more people to get to know. I was scared at first also, but after my first day I was like, wow this isn't so bad. Just relax and have a good time! I loved high school!
