and one massive six in his outing.
Joyce was joined by New Zealand’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lou-Vincent-c73143 and the pair continued the flow of runs, collecting 59 runs for the second wicket partnership. The former played a decent innings of 54 off 68 before being dismissed.
Zimbabwe’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Murray-Goodwin-c2040 was unable to make most of the start he got to his innings, getting dismissed for 18 runs. He was followed by Vincent, who managed 42 runs off 63 balls with the help of three boundaries.
However, Yardy and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Joe-Gatting-c1710 played well towards the end of the innings, guiding the total to 239. They scored 33 and 26 respectively and the skipper remained unbeaten until the end.
Middlesex’s spinner http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jamie-Dalrymple-c1658 did a decent job, picking up a couple of wickets in the match.
In reply, the hosts got off to a magnificent start, as openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dawid-Malan-c1344 put together a massive first wicket stand. The pair amassed 153 runs at the top of the order before the latter got out after adding 84 runs to the total off the same
number of deliveries. His innings included 10 fours and 1 massive six.
Robson also played well and ended up with 65 runs before being dismissed. The innings was then carried forward by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chris-Rogers-c1249, as the pair collected 72 runs for the third wicket.
The latter got out after scoring 37, but Stirling remained unbeaten on 46 until the end.
The Sussex bowlers did not enjoy the conditions, as they were smashed for runs, but Yardy did a decent job, picking up one wicket.
