Middlesex 324/7 (97.0 ov) v Warwickshire - Warwickshire won the toss and elected to field
On the first day of the four-day match between Middlesex and Warwickshire, Middlesex batsmen gave an astounding performance by clobbering a massive total of 324 runs for the loss of seven wickets, at Uxbridge Cricket Club Ground.
Warwickshire chose to field first on winning the toss, giving their bowlers a first go at the opposition.
For Middlesex, however, it was imperative to post a big total on the board, to gain an upper hand against their rivals.
Openers CJL Rogers and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JL-Denly-c1703 hammered a resounding stand of 41 runs, with the bowlers being punished by the duo remorselessly.
Warwickshire lost the advantage of winning the toss from the moment they started getting bulldozed by the Middlesex openers.
In the 12th over of the day, the fielding side finally managed to grab their first wicket by dismissing Rogers, who fell after smashing an innings of 16 runs.
It was then time for star middle-order batsman, NJ Dexter, to take the field and belt his side to dominance.

The demise of Dexter brought DJ Malan in the centre, and the batsman relished superb form as he countered the bowlers with utmost comfort.
The partnership between Denly and Malan yielded a total of 232 runs on the scoreboard, destroying Warwickshire’s bowling attack.
Finally the partnership was broken by DL Maddy, who dismissed Denly on the penultimate delivery of the 66th over, after the batsman had hammered a knock of 95 runs.
CJC Wright then sneaked a delivery past Malan’s defences, as the fielding side secured their fourth wicket. The batsman walked back to the pavilion after crafting a stupendous innings of 106 runs. At the time of this wicket, Middlesex had managed to post
285 runs.
A run later, they suffered the demise of their fifth wicket when wicketkeeper/batsman, JA Simpson, perished without opening his account.
On the next delivery, GK Berg, also hit the showers as he fell without scoring a run.
