Uxbridge Cricket Club Ground: On August 02, Warwickshire trail by 224 runs with eight wickets in hand against Middlesex, in their four-day match, in the ongoing County Championship Division One.
The second day began with Middlesex resuming their first innings from a total of 324 for the loss of seven wickets.
However, Warwickshire made early inroads by grabbing their first wicket of the day with Middlesex on 327 runs.
OP Rayner was the first casualty of the day, as he was caught behind off the bowling of CR Woakes on score of 18.
Woakes, struck once more in his next over by dismissing TS Roland-Jones, on a score of 17. At the time of this wicket, the batting side managed to amass a total of 330 runs.
The partnership between SP Crook and TJ Murtagh forged another stiff resistance against Warwickshire, as the two batsmen refused to budge and kept hammering the bowlers with confidence.
The duo took the score to 402, after which the innings came to an end on the wicket of Crook, who was dismissed by Wright on a knock of 30 runs.
Meanwhile, TJ Murtagh, stayed unbeaten on a score of 36 off 52.
From Warwickshire, CR Woakes and CJC Wright were the top performers with four wickets each to their names.
