  1. SRR's speed and ring craft would pull him through

  2. m.m.h.

  3. In my opinion Robinson, Hagler, and Monzon were the greatest middleweights in boxing history. Robinson was also the greatest welterweight of all time too. Had any of these three ever fought each other in their primes it would have made for some really great fights. Robinson fought against great middleweights such men as Fullmer, Turpin, Basillio, LaMotta, Graziano and others. He in my opinion was the ultimate boxer who had every think you could want to have as a fighter and more. Marvin Hagler was a fiercely determined fighter with good speed and power, not to mention an iron jaw which made him almost impossible to be knocked out. I believe this would have been a very even contest with Robinson taking the early rounds with his speed but very close rounds. I see Hagler landing really hard shots about middle ways through this fight with Robinson fighting back fiercely. In the championship rounds this fight would go back and forth in momentum with Robinson probably landing a few more punches than Hagler. At the end of a great fight I have Robinson the winner by split decision and crowned the greatest middleweight of all time

Good question and a very good tournament as well sir.

  4. I think Robinson was just as quick but stronger than Leonard. Leonard got a close dec against Hagler. I think the speed of Robinson would be difficult for Hagler to defend. Leonard landed cleanly with weak shots on Hagler. Robinson would also but he would have more behind it.

Again I'll pick Robinson by dec in a great fight.

  5. Robinson

  6. SUGAR RAY.

  7. with out a doubt Hagler.!

  8. Sugar Ray Robinson wins by majority decision in a fight he controls from beginning to end.

  9. I would say Robinson by decision.  He was faster than Hagler and was a true tactician in the ring.  When you think of the "sweet science", Ray Robinson should come to mind because his style was that, a science, a wonderful blend of speed, power, footwork, defense, etc.

Hagler was a great fighter.  He was sound and durable.  But he wasn't very fast.  Robinson would a step or two a head and that is what would carry him to victory.

  10. You deleted your own question cos you was losing with the argument and my answer you tried to get deleted was put back by the Yahoo answer team!Once again I will state that Hagler would beat Robinson, probably on points. Now can I have 10 points or are you going to get my answer deleted again??Were are your other halves?,tut, tut

  11. when Robinson was boxing, fighters were much smaller at the weight than now, Hagler would look like a couple of weights bigger. I dont think Robinsons power would be enough to bother hagler, where as Haglers power was devastating even to big guys. I would like to think Robinson but come on hagler would smash him to bits.I would rather take 10 off Robinson than 4 off Hagler and that's probably how the fight would go.

  12. the robinson from the early '50s to outpoint hagler.

hager to outpoint the robinson from the late '50s as hagler is far superior to fulmer, basilio & pender.

  13. ray robinson...

for real....if ray leonard got in his head enough to throw him off his game.....ray robinson prob would have ko'd hagler...he was just as slick if not more than sugar ray.

  14. I'm going with Marvin on a close unanimous decision, for the simple fact that Ray Robinson was not in his prime for 160, and Hagler had more than enough skill to give him problems.

  15. Ray Robinson. Easily beat that guy in a matter of 5 -7 rounds
