Midnight Sun?!!?!?!? ?

For those of you who have been checking Stephenie Meyer's website, you probably have read her most recent note to her fans. It says that somebody posted an illegal copy of Midnight Sun online and that Midnight Sun is indefinitely on hold because Stephenie doesn't feel like writing it anymore.

She also posted a draft of Midnight Sun, and at the end, she writes that she wants to spend more time with her family and that she wants to focus on other writing projects. Does this mean that Midnight Sun is not going to come out anymore?!?!?

I want to find the person who leaked the draft, and punch them in the face. ugh. i read the draft; it's really good, but it's only about halfway done.  the meadow scene hasn't even come yet D:

but yeah- it's still gonna come out, just pushed back to a later date now.

Well, personally, I think if she didn't want it to get out yet, KEEP IT SAFE. I don't know, surround it by AK-47 wielding madmen. But if the book leaked 12 chapters, she must have just been giving them out, obviously not exactly keeping them secret. This is what happens.

Music/films/tv/books etc etc are leaked ALL the time but the people behind them carry on with it. It just seems so unproffessional to me to put something on hold becuase it was leaked. Especially a leak that could have been stopped if she'd just kept hold of it.

It'll come out, don't worry.  I dunno, I have a feeling that maybe Stephenie Meyer planned for this to happen.  Like seriously, the leak was on the internet for a long time before they actually did anything about it.  And with all the bad responses she got from Breaking Dawn, she probably wanted to make up for it.  And plus, she put it on her website now.  She should've just ignored that this leak ever happened, not made it legal for everyone to read it.

And if she truly didn't know about the leak, she shouldn't have given out 12 chapters for someone to read.  Maybe a couple chapters, half the book is just insane.  Whoever put it up sucks, but Stephenie Meyer shouldn't blame her fans and just not publish the books anymore.  I understand that it would be upsetting, but remember how JK Rowling had her whole book leaked on the internet?  That didn't stop her from writing the whole series.

And plus, it's all about the money.  Why wouldn't she publish it if she knew she could make millions off of it?

She said that she would be on hold indefinitely,in other words, she'll rewrite it again....................so it may take a loooooooooooong time until it EVER comes out, if she even has the will to!!!!!!!!! satephenie meyer had always thought kindly of her fans,but this left her devastated!!!!!!! i certainly hope there will be a midnight sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i dont think its going to come out anymore. she said on her website that she couldnt continue with it because of what happened =(
