I don't really want to dress like a character, but I'm not really sure what to wear??

You can find a nice dress and go as if you are going to a prom :)

Or, you can take the person above me's idea: a normal teen, which I love that idea personally. :)

ummm, I'm just going as myself.  Bella is just an average teen, right?  jeans, t-shirt, hoodie.  that's about it!

Like you, I'm also not going as a character (seeing as I don't resemble any of them).

However, I am still attempting to make myself look "vampire-ish" by wearing white face powder and face shimmer on my jaw and cheek bones.

I'm going to wear my Team Edward shirt and black skinny jeans with black flats.

If you want something want to go with the whole prom scene, and you don't have a prom dress at your disposal, you could wear a shimmery blue or red dress, something like Bella's, just so that it's not just some "random dress."

You could also go with the Twilight cover theme, the "red and white on black."  That would work too.
