Miele Revolution Vaccuum cleaner manual

Question

Is it possible to get a copy of the manual as I would like to know what the big black filter is inside the machine where the bag sits, which appears to be full of something like charcoal? A friend of mine says if you fit the hose in the hole above the filter and fit the little black gismo in the electrical hole where the three spade fittings are the machine should blow down the hose to clear any blockages. But what is the other spare filter which is empty but would fit in the same position as the charcoal filter? Very confused and in need of manual please if poss? many thanks Jane
