Liverpool’s new signing, Simon Mignolet, has admitted that the move to Anfield is the next big step in his career. The player stated that he is looking forward to the start of the new season and is excited ahead of the pre-season.

“For me it's a big step forward and I'm very pleased to be training with the team for two weeks now. I spoke to the manager and he told me that it's going to be a big step forward. At the moment, it's only training and I have to
get used to the players and the way of playing. Once we get going I'll know what it's going to be like,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Sunderland player stated that the players at Liverpool are determined to perform in the next season as the side did not play well last year. He added that the young players are extremely ambitious and the targets are
set on winning trophies and qualifying for a place in Europe.
“There's big ambition around the club. I saw that they are very ambitious, want to get forward, winning trophies and getting into the top four,” he concluded.
Simon Mignolet made a total of 101 appearances in all competitions for Sunderland in the three years he spent there. At 25, Mignolet has all what it takes to play for a big club such as Liverpool. The Reds have bought the shot
stopper as a replacement for Reina, who may be leaving at the end of next year probably.
