  1. I'm from Australia, and about you're age, and the most important thing to do when you arrive on you're first day is to be relaxed but slightly assertive at the same time, make sure that you let people know you're not a complete pushover and you'll be fine.

The teacher will ask you to introduce yourself and the best thing to do is keep it short. They'll ask the questions, (Whats life like where you grew up, favorite sport etc..) and just respond with a simple answer, and try to throw in a little humour but don't go over the top.

But the number one rule is to be relaxed, and act as though you know every kid in the school. You will without a doubt make freinds in the first week and once you feel comfortable just expand your social life from there

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  2. Hey. I live in Australia ( not western Australia) but still.

I hope you have a good experience moving here and going to school here. Year 11 will be fun. Australians are nice, there easy going and just generally like having a good time. The students should treat you nicely on your first day hopefully. The teacher might ask you to introduce yourself. Just tell them what you told us here...that you were born and grew up in the philippines. Tell them maybe things you are interested in and any hobbies or sports you like to play or your favourite subjects.

    Good luck x

  3. I will be in Perth this July and I'm not very nervous about it. People are people are people. They wont hate or like because they are Aussie, but because you are who you are. Be nice, you'll be in their territory, try to learn about their culture before you go there. I heard Australia as a country is pretty lax, so I'm betting that people there are pretty cool as well.

In the end, it all depends on you, I think.

  4. Hi. Im from Australia-Melbourne.

Australians are pretty open and like newcomers. Dont worry.

Yes i would say the teacher will ask you to introduce yourself-thats normal. Just be natural.
