Miguel Cabrera looking to bounce back strongly – MLB News
According to a leading sports website, Miguel Cabrera is looking to bounce back strongly in the upcoming regular season. Cabrera had to be taken off the field after he was hit on his face by a grounder in a Grape fruit League game earlier this spring.
The ball came to his awkwardly, hitting under his right eye which sliced his skin. Cabrera was unable to see anything due to the blood on his face and he was taken to the dugout immediately for further medical treatment.
Cabrera then had to go to the nearest hospital to receive stitches. The source further added that Cabrera’s stitches are fine now and he is very optimistic about the upcoming regular season. Without a shadow of a doubt, Cabrera is one of the most important
members in Detroit Tigers.
Along with Justin Verlander, Cabrera played a key role in Tigers’ American League title winning campaign past season. hitting 30 home runs and 105 RBI’s, he manufactured a match winning performance whenever the Tigers needed him to.
For the Tigers, Cabrera’s health and fitness is more important than anything else. Not only is he the finest hitter in Major League Baseball right now, he also has the ability to motivate and mentor the young prospects in the team.
In an interview with a top baseball website, Tigers Manager Jim Leyland stated that Cabrera is feeling comfortable now. Leyland and Cabrera had a meeting a couple of days ago and Leyland is convinced that the hard hitting striker is ready to do what he known
for; hard hitting.
"The nice part about it is I don't have to worry about the medical part of it," Leyland said. "I saw him this morning and had a nice conversation with him. I think he felt comfortable the whole time. I don't think he was worried like everybody else was."
The Tigers will be looking to do everything to protect their striker from unwanted injuries. It will be interesting to see if the Tigers and Cabrera can live up to the expectations. Surely, the World Series title belongs to the Tigers this season.
