Miguel Cotto/Antonio Margarito?

What will the result of the fight be and how do you see the fight unfolding. This one shapes up as a fight of the year candidate.

Don't be so certain that we're going to get a shoot out.  Think of it like a duel, if both guys have pillows, they wail on each other.  If both guys have uzis, they both take cover and popshot.

Will he get hurt? (see 4:55 point of clip) Will he have enough time to hit low (see 5:24 of clip)to save himself?  I think the tale of the tape had Margarito with both a sizeable height and reach advantage.  Too many X factors for me to confidently predict this one.  But I think Cotto decision is the most likely outcome.

Should be a great fight.  Tornado's article is very well written with some good insight.    Margarito does have a tendency to throw looping punches, which Cotto will take advantage of.  When and if Margartio pins Cotto against the rope the punches will wear down Cotto.  Unfortanately Cotto's chin is his achilles heal.  If Cotto utilizes his superior boxing skills, he can make the fight easier and win a decision.  There are a lot of "if's", but the one item that keeps coming up in my mind is the Margarito size difference along with his chin.  Can not wait to watch.  Margartios size will be the difference winning with a late TKO.

cotto will win by a possibility of a UD or a TKO in the late rounds. Margarito will stun cotto in the mid rounds but cotto is a smart fighter and has better defense, cotto is also more polished then he use to be. Margarito got hit but never got hit from a fighter like cotto , plus margarito never fought a body puncher nor has cotto. So it would b very tough for both fighters , but i see cotto's boxing skills winning  UD with points , or at the end cotto going for the kill, it'z a 50/50, but either way cotto will win. one more thing , i dont know why people are saying cotto dosen't know how to fight backwards, he does know how , it showed in the fight with sugar shane mosely, he outboxed mosely moving backward, i mean yeah mosely stunned cotto a few times but cotto manage to out box mosely backwards. So i think cotto will out box margarito either moving foward or backwards, its going to be a great fight, go COTTO!!!

i got margarito by k.o in the 9th or 10th rd i think cotto will try 2 impose his will on margarito early on 2 find out that its 2 no avail he will have 2 fight going backwards margaritos power will keep cotto back peddaling all night  and expect him 2 get tired in the late rds opening himself up for the k.o!!

Good question sir.  I believe this will be a battle of wills.  Margarito is a very aggressive fighter with good power and an iron chin, so he will be a formitable foe for Cotto.  Cotto is at least his equal in the power department and is a superior boxer and body puncher in my opinion,  I believe that there will be some furious exchanges during this fight and a lot of great action.  Cotto will catch the aggressive Margarito coming in and make him respect his punching power.  I say this will be a very close fight with the superior boxing of Cotto earning him a close but unanimous decision.
