Miguel Cotto Needs To Call Out Mayweather?

Miguel Cotto is not a trash talker and after every win he says that he will fight whoever Bob Arum puts in front of him but Cotto needs to do some trash talking to get the attention of Floyd Mayweather or else they will never fight.

I do think the fight will happen if Cotto beats Margarito in his next fight..........if it doesn't happen it will reflected in the negative opinions of PBF by both the boxing public and the media............I also believe that the media is the only thing at this current time that is keeping PBF at the top of the rankings and if he chooses to not fight Cotto or even delay in getting some serious talks going with him then the turn by both the public and media will be very swift.............so in turn, a victory for Cotto in his next fight will make the fight happen or will completely ruin PBF reputation..........then the more he talks the more people will criticize him for it.    If Cotto is a better fighter PBF than Margo vs. Cotto is just as big for PBF as it is for Cotto himself.

I agree because Gayweather didn't have any intentions of fighting Hatton until Ricky said, "That was more action you saw in those four rounds than you saw in Floyd Mayweather's whole career" following the Hatton-Castillo bout.

This is definetly a fight that needs to happen as both are undefeated and would add status to their careers.  As you say, Cotto is rather reserved as Mayweather Jr. is anything but so I don't believe you're going to have Cotto calling him out even though it would greatly help his career especially if he handed Floyd his first loss.

I think we all need to know the psychology of a guy like Mayweather.  It's a lot like dating that hot chick you're trying to score with.  Just act like you're not interested and you'll be knee deep in booty 24/7.  

The more Cotto wants to fight Money May, the less-likely it's going to happen.  Cotto should just say that while he wants to fight Floyd, it'll never happen, and that everyone should just move on with their life.  Then, when no-body is talking about Mayweather anymore, he'll be the one begging for the fight with Cotto.  Trust me on this one.

I agree with pistol pete cotto calling out mayweatehr aint gonna do nothing. margartio called him out and floyd found all these excuses not to fight him . he will just have more excuses not to fight cotto.

but we should all thank floyd becauew if he accepted to fight cotto we would have never gotten cotto vs margarito. and cotto vs margarito is better then floyd vs anybody, he just makes every fight boring...

This is so funny how people like to throw Margo name in the mix. Cotto dont need to call PBF out and PBF dont need to call Cotto out. Both guy's need to keep doing something Margo fell to do against average fighters, keep winning. Most feared man in boxing but have 5 L's. Margo is a great fighter, dont get me wrong. Williams use him for a punching bag, he almost lost to a injured Clottey and it still was a close decision. Some people forget, Margo is making a last run like Mosley, Margo is trying to get back to the top not PBF or Cotto. Margo career is on life support not PBF and Cotto. Every fight Margo fight, its a must win.

Assuming Mayweather doesn't retire on us, before the opportunity of being matched up with Cotto, I think they will fight eventually regardless of Cotto's approach. I just think the trash talking would make the intriguing match even more intriguing.

Though, lets not forget that Miguel Cotto needs to take care of business agaisnt Antonio Margarito first.
