Miguel Torres expelled from UFC due to indecent comments – UFC News
In a sudden change of events, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has released one of its fighters, Miguel Torres, from the promotion. The news has been confirmed by the UFC officials and management. It has been official that
Torres is no longer part of the UFC. His release came soon after he gave some indecent comments on social media.
Dana White, CEO of UFC was angry upon the actions of Torres, the fighter who contested in the UFC in the bantamweight division. It is interesting to note that Torres has been a professional MMA fighter since March 2000, when he
made his successful MMA debut against compatriot Larry Pulliam.
The UFC and MMA community has been in a state of shock for the release of Torres from the UFC. None of the fans would have guessed that White and the UFC management would take such a drastic measure against Torres and his comments,
which he made on his Twitter account.
CEO White said, “Miguel Torres has been cut from the UFC and his career with us now is over. There’s absolutely nothing I could say to make any sense of that. And the fact that he even thinks that’s funny or that’s a joke, it disturbs
me. It bothers me. Again, you’re dealing with a guy that’s a smart guy, that owns his own business, that’s been one of the top fighters in the world forever. And I cut him today. He’s no longer with the UFC.”
Torres has been a professional MMA fighter since March 2000 and had an excellent start. He was undefeated in the first twenty bouts which he contested in and got a great start. His first loss in his professional MMA career came
in November 2003, when he was defeated by compatriot MMA fighter, Ryan Ackerman.
According to reports, White has expressed his disgust over Torres’ comments regarding a rape victim and the joke he made. White and the entire UFC management will not consider taking Torres back on their list of active fighters
in the UFC. None of the UFC or MMA fans would have guessed that UFC would take such a drastic step against Torres.
