this fight is boring as it when you pair 2 super fighters. this fight will go to the judges and they will give the fight to the undefeated guy like they always do. cotto will stay undefeated then get knocked out by floyd in december/january bout.

  1. I hope you are jokking. This will be a great fight they both have a lot to loose. They will leave everything they have on the ring. Besides Cotto And Margarito are brutal fighters.

  2. I would definetely watch this fight I think people are under rating Margarito's boxing abilty and i would like to see how this fight would turn out.

  3. BORING???? Do you know anything about boxing?

    I think NOT......

Listen Guy, Margarito is one of the MOST avoided fighters in the past 5 YEARS KID...

Mosley, Floyd, and De la hoya all turned down offers of 8-10 million to fight Magarito

The fact that Cotto will fight tells you something about

his character, he dont care who you put in front of him.

    He will fight ANYONE

Floyd claims the same saying he fights anyone followed by the phrase, IF THE MONEY IS RIGHT

To get to the point Cotto vs Margarito will be ACTION PACKED, margaito is relentless, he holds the record

by Com-pu-box for most punches in one fight, More than 1000.

  4. they bet on it?

  5. To be fair, Floyd is NOT a true Welterweight. If he had stayed at the weight he started..or even only a class or two higher, he would be considered a God. No one could touch him. He being in the light welts is the equivalent of Roy Jones being a heavyweight...its that drastic a weight change. Im not making excuses for him, but lets remember where he started before we knock him off his pedastal.

To answer your question, I have to respectfully disagree that you arent watching as much boxing as you should, to make two incorrect statements like that in the same questions. A fight between two top tier fighters that create their styles off of infighting and body punching has no chance of being boring. The punch stats and knockdowns will be off the charts. The fight will be brutal.

And both parties can make a case. Antonio Margarito is one of the most heralded punchers in the division..he doesnt hit squarely with murderous intent, Paul Williams showed that. BUT, he hits enough to wear you down on all sorts of levels. An average fighter isnt going to be able to withstand all that Margarito can bring, attacking you upstairs, downstairs..hard boiled chin.

Enter, Miguel Cotto. Cotto has just an equal a case. Although he doesnt have Margarito's height, he doesnt have a problem with tall fighters either. He is THE HEAVIEST handed puncher in the division. Everything that Margarito can get done in five or six punches, Cotto can do in one. Cotto also wont test Margarito's chin, not initially. He will cover his face (Margaritos money punches start after the initial one two) and try to break him downstairs. Mix in that Miguel Cotto was VERY well groomed, has an MUCH better pedigree against better fighters than Margarito.....

And you got the ingredients of "WHO IN THE h**l WILL DROP WHO?"

Im sorry, youre dead wrong on this. This one wont go to the cards, not by a long shot.

  6. Well this wont get me picked as best.

But you dont know what you are talking about.  How can this fight be boring when its two fighters who like to come forward, both of which enjoy mixing it up, and both of which have superior inside styles.

Whats this garbage about judges always going for the undefeated fighter?  If that were true the judges would have favored Williams over Quintana just to give a recent close decision with an undefeated fighter involved.

What leads you to believe Floyd will knock out Cotto?

Honestly I dont know why I took the 3 minutes to answer such a ridiculous assertion as you have made.

  7. Why would anyone watch cotto vs margarito u ask?

Simple, this would be slufest. If u wanna see a good fight you would wanna watch this one.

Floyd would knock out cotto u say? LOL ur a funny guy, who u think cotto is gatti? Hatton? Please, floyd can't  knock out cotto when his gonna be running from him.

You'll never see floyd step up to the ring wth cotto cuz that bitc* floyd is scared he would get hurt

  8. WTF  WTF  there is 1 million reasons to watch this fight.  both are brwlers but the difference is the cotto is a good boxer and can fight southpaw and normal stance. and i doubt very much that this fight is going to depend on the judges.  one punxh in the body by either boxers the fight will be over. body puching, and power is an specialty of both fighters. IT WILL BE a GREAT FIGHT.

  9. Why would it be boring? Do you even watch boxing two guys who love to come forward have suspect defense and thunder in their hands sounds like a recipe for success to me.

  10. Margarito/Cotto is the biggest welterweight fight on the planet, it is bigger than anything involving Mayweather at 147.  It would be a spectacular fight, and I am making plans to be in New York next year when it happens, it will be a spectacular way to close Yankee stadium, and I wouldn't be surprised if it sells out the old ball park one last time before they tear it down.

I don't think Mayweather would KO Margarito if you gave Floyd a brick to hit Antonio with, Margo took some bombs from Cintron, and walked right through that storm, Floyd doesn't have anywhere near the power at 147 that he did at 140.  I don't even think Floyd would shake Cotto and Miguel has a very questionable chin at 147.  Both of these guys would chase Mayweather out of the ring.  Floyd is old news, and even if nobody took his mythical P4P status away from him by beating him in the ring, he walked away from it and boxing by avoiding the talent laden welterweight division and ducking guys like Clottey, Williams, Quintana and Cotto for pay days against a slowed, aging DeLa Hoya and an over matched 140 lb Hatton.

Any true boxing fan is much more interested in Cotto/Margarito than another Mayweather track meet.  Floyd is yesterday's news, and at 140 he was boxing's P4P best.  At 147 Floyd barely makes the top ten, and is at best a fringe contender.  I think Joshua Clottey or Shane Mosley would beat Floyd.  Margarito or Cotto are in a position to GIVE FLOYD A FIGHT if he asks, but neither need Mayweather.  People are fed up with Floyd's arrogance, and true boxing pundits understand Floyd isn't the fighter at 147 that he was a the lower weights.

If Floyd ever fights a decent welterweight, the rest of the public will see it first hand.

  11. First off if Cotto takes the fight with Margarito will be a bad nite for Cotto.... Asking a 5'7 guy to try and brawl and box with 5'11 Margarito is asking a little much .... the only reason why i dont have it as a complete wipeout is because of cottos long ameature background.... he will be able to counter and parry for awhile but like i said with Cintron if he tries and load up with big shots will be a short night.... i have Margarito winning be KO or TKO after 8 rounds...but i wonder if Cotto will sign on....Mayweather already turned down 8 million to fight Margarito so i doubt that will change anytime soon.... Cotto may be able to give Mayweather a good fight but i still think Mayweather will win an easy decision or KO cotto in 12..... but is a mute point if Cotto signs up for that fight with Margarito....Margarito will embarrass Cotto just wait and see ....ask Cintron
