Mike Alvarado reckons he can take on anybody no matter what it takes – Boxing news
The Mike High, Mike Alvarado, who recently secured an impressive 10-round unanimous decision over the Mexican combatant Gabriel Martinez, reckons he can now take on anyone in the sport of boxing.
The undefeated junior welterweight, Alvarado, who has won all of his 31 professional fights including 22 by the way of a knockout, was pushed all the way by the El Rey, Martinez, for the first time in his 13 previous fights.
However, in the end it was the American 31-year-old Mike who appeared on top. Alvarado told the media he has now proved himself in front of everybody. Therefore, he now wants a title shot.
“I'm right there,” Alvarado said. “I've proved myself. I'll fight anybody. Whatever it takes. The best needs to fight the best.”
Alvarado has won his last fights within the first five rounds and that is the reason he thinks he is still as fresh as his first fight.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “It's been less impact on my body. A lot of guys go through those tough fights and they get older with a lot of wear and tear. But I'm fresh.”
Alvarado’s manager, Henry Delgado, in the meanwhile commented on his fighter and stated he and the rest of camp members are doing their best to bring Alvarado back under the main lights.
“We're trying to put Colorado on the boxing map,” Delgado said. “But it's just that one week opened our eyes up. We have to make the best decisions for him, whether he likes it or not.”
In the end, the current International Boxing Federation’s Latino Light Welterweight Championship belt holder Alvarado remarked he is ready to take on the next step and he is not going to be stopped by anyone.
“Let's get back to the drawing board. The sky's the limit,” Alvarado said.
Let’s see if Mike Alvarado really gets a title shot with someone out there, as he will certainly put on a great show for the audience.
