These two native Hamiltonians were devastated about their removal from the team...do you think the coaches should have kept them on for there remaining contracts of 1 year? There is new coaching and GM staff and they are maintaining they did it for the team, which sounds reasonable enough, but weighing there expertise and city involvement, could this have been a good decision?

  1. I don't think the Ti-Cats will win any games now.

    GO BOMBERS

  2. I think it stinks - besides being locals, both are character guys and hustlers, and I am sure would benefit the team by playing.  I grew up in Stoney Creek, so I know how exciting the Ticats can be, especially with guys like those 2 in the lineup.

Similarly in hockey - isn't it a shame that the possibility of actually putting an NHL team in Copps comes after Dave Andreychuk retired?

  3. I think it is a sad day for all Hamilton fans.

These two guys were not just hometown boys, they were in a large part the heart and soul of the cats, and someone we could all identify with.

I can understand why the decision was made, because of the number of  young excellent draftees the cats have, and what they will do over a longer period of time, versus the fact that Rob, and Mike are 35, and 36 years old and are in the twilight of their careers.

Thanks guys for a lot of excitement over the years, and good luck at whatever you do next.

    GO CATS GO
