Mike Perez says he is waiting for Tyson Fury to sign a contract on November 12 – Boxing news
The Ireland based Cuban pugilist, Mike ‘The Rebel’ Perez, is furious over the current British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, who accused Perez of ducking a fight with him. The 25-year-old
Perez, who is best known for winning the World Junior Amateur Championships at light heavyweight in Jeju in 2004, told the media Fury is easy prey for him and he does not see any reason why he should be avoiding him.
Perez, who won the International Prize-fighter tournament earlier this year, related Fury with his countryman David ‘the Hayemaker’ Haye, who declared a lot ahead of his mega unification bout for the heavyweight
titles against Dr. Steelhammer, Wladimir Klitschko, but on fight night lost his WBA world heavyweight title on July 2, 2011 at Hamburg’s Football Stadium in Germany.
Perez, who holds an undefeated record of winning all of his 16 professional fights, with 12 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, stated Fury is just like David Haye and all he can do is talk trash.
"Why would I not want that fight?" said Perez. “It’s easy money and a chance to make a lot of people happy by knocking him out and shutting his big mouth. Fury is just like his fellow countryman David
Haye, he talks the talk but he doesn't deliver.”
Perez revealed Fury’s promoter asked him to fight Fury and he said yes straight away but then nobody contacted him back.
“Fury's promoter asked about the fight a few weeks ago when he still didn't have an opponent. I said yes straight away and asked them to send through a contract but we never heard any more about it.”
Perez in the end declared he wants to fight Fury and is waiting for a contract to be signed. he added, "I'm waiting on a contract for November 12th, it's time to put up or shut up."
Fury also holds an unbeaten record of winning all of his 16 professional fights including 11 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout. Therefore if Fury and Perez signs a contract they will certainly
put on a great show for the audience.
