Mike Phelps last 400?

Question

I am watching the Olympics and they said he was probably very emotional at the podium when he got his gold medal because it was probably his last 400. Is he going to retire or something?

no he is not going to retire. he is swimming in the next olympics. (i think those ones will be his last) my guess is that he wants to replace the 400 im with the 400 free. he probably wants to get thorpes record :) and i hope he does.

i think they said that at the next olympics there will be a totally new format for swimming and that there might not be a 400 im so it could be his last one

all I heard was that he's going to change his events up b/c he doesn't like the 400 im.  I woulda liked to see him try and break 4 min though
