Mike Trout will stay at triple-A Salt Lake, says Los Angeles Angels’ manager Mike Scioscia
With the increasing amount of pressure and playing constantly poor, the top management of the Los Angeles Angels’ are currently faces some serious strategic issues to be resolved soon.
The 2012 exclusive roster of the Angels which enjoys the services of star pitcher C.J. Wilson and Albert Pujols are proving no good for the South Los Angeles baseball franchise at the moment.
Both have not clicked yet in 2012 Major League Baseball season despite so many expectations from them at their time of arrival. Though in their previous franchises, both players have played wonderfully, but since these two have arrived in the team, nothing
special has been achieved by the Angels.
On the other hand, the ongoing poor form of veteran players has provoked the Angels top management to think bringing some other players into the roster to achieve some kind of stability which can lead them into the post season finish.
Lately some close sources of Angels have predicted that current Minor League player Mike Trout might be called into the Majors soon.
However, this speculation was rejected by the Angels’ management saying their team has some other plans to overcome these late defeats.
Team manager Mike Scioscia said in the media, “I don't believe anything is imminent, but when you play at the level Mike is playing at now, you become more of a focal point of fans, the media and the organization, When a move is made depends on a lot of
things. When you're playing that well, you tend to push the door open for yourself, but right now he will continue to play [at Salt Lake] until something changes."
Scioscia added, “This team has some guys we feel are going to play at a higher level," "If things continue to stagnate, we'll put more weight on [a Trout] decision.”
This is certainly a difficult time for the Angels, who currently have lost five straight games from low averaged opponents. Looking at the dire situation of Angels’ entire roster, it will be interesting to see if some new faces arrive soon to replace some
of their senior out of form players.
