Mike Tyson Vs. Lennox Lewis - in their primes! Who wins?

Mike Tyson from 1988 versus Lennox Lewis from 1997. Who would win this fight??

I don't rank Tyson in the top 5 heavyweights of all time, though probably just inside the top 10.

Lewis had ridiculous power and he would also dwarf Tyson in the ring.

Still, I give Tyson a decent shot to win, simply because Lennox Lewis lost to people like Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall.

Its a tough fight to predict the outcome of.

Who would win??

  1. tyson ... young ,hungry .pissed at the world, in fantastic shape, dangerous .... if you take tyson at that stage of his life/career and put him in the ring with anybody ... louis, dempsey, frazier, moore, walcott, marciano, holmes , ali ...any of them ...even ali as GREAT as he was  ... would be lucky to get out on their feet ... ali and holmes would probably win but it would be close ... most of the others would get sucked into trading shots and tyson HAMMERED people especially to the body and was FAST

  2. Tyson.  Only a Muhammad Ali could have beaten a prime Iron Mike.

  3. Lewis's jab would keep Tyson away and frustrate him, just like Buster Douglas did, but Lewis was bigger with more power than Douglas. As good as Tyson was, he was a bully who intimidated fughters. Anyone who stood up to him and wasn't afraid had a chance to beat him. Lewis had the jab and power to win.

  4. lewis didnt fight too many fighters in their primes he also fought alot of bums say tyson fought bums all you want they were better quality than what lewis fought if tony tucker took lewis the distance as an old man imagine what tucker could of done in his prime against lewis a prime tucker fought a prime tyson though he went the distance tyson easily out pointed tucker and took his best shots with no problem i dont care what you lennox lewis fans say the man fought no prime fighters and made bums look good because he had a glass chin i lol when you people try to say lewis had a good chin tyson had better skills in his prime and he hit harder than lewis ever did if raham could knock lewis out so couldnt a prime tyson tyson was also faster  stick the size **** up your *** if lewis had fought a prime tyson he would of been  knocked out these big guys your talking about the lewis the klitsko etc they have not fought anybody really worth remembering if bert sugar says lennox lewis was overated thats a very good source lewis fair fighter made into a great fighter by promoters and fans who were or are scared there is no more money to be made in the heavyweight division too bad tyson messed up if he had stuck with kevin rooney  stayed out of jail stayed away from don king etc he might of had a great career for you people to say a prime mike tyson fought nobodys lennox lewis didnt do any better i still think tyson fought better men

  5. Mike Tyson would beat lennox lewis.

  6. its a toss up, but ill go with lewis, tyson could win if he could get to lewis in the early rounds, as mcall did, but the problem with iron mike is whenever he fought someone who wasnt afraid of him, he lost, and lewis definantley wouldnt of been afraid of him. this moron who posted above me obviously has never stepped in the ring and wouldnt know a boxing glove from the tampon in his panties

  7. In their respective primes, Tyson wins without a doubt.

Tyson was a very active fighter who in his prime defended his title 10 times.

The outcome is Tyson, by TKO.  They fought when Lennox was in his prime and almost 10 years after Tyson's prime, and it still took Lewis 8 rounds to get the job done.

I think Mike Tyson is a top 10 heavy of all time, but I think Lewis- despite his win over Tyson is outside the top 10.

  8. The Cus D'Amato Tyson Would stop Lewis in a couple rounds. Cus had mike trained to destroy tall mobile fighters. His head movement at that time was second to none and he cut the ring off better than any pressure heavyweight in history.

You don't lose to Rahman and Mccall in YOUR prime and then beat a prime mike tyson.

  9. along time ago tyson and lewis fought and lennox  dominated so much that he actually knocked tyson out don't get me wrong tyson has incredible power and is a great boxer but lennox is the better boxer.

  10. In his prime I would say Tyson.

No one at that time could beat him,

He just had a style that people were not used to, was low to the ground and was strong.

Ah the days when the heavyweight division was worth watching.

  11. lewis"s jab wouldnt do **** against a prime tyson it would be lights out for lewis and i think pretty quick

  12. in their primes tyson would of eaten alive lennox lewis.. tyson was something else in his prime one of the most dominant fighters i have ever seen at his prime
