Mike Tyson v Ron Lyle?

There's obviously a lot of anti Tyson comments here,but this is more generational than anything,to cut it all short Tyson was a breath of fresh air to Sport in general,and heavyweight boxing in particular,Mike Tyson in the golden years of '86-89 was simply indestructible.People have a short memory as to how powerful this guy was,laying out fighters much much bigger than him.I detect a lot of the hostility here is sentiment for the heavies from '7Os's and Mikes personal difficulties in his life,mike would KO Lyle like any other big fella fairly quickly.rn 5.

I believe that the speed advantage would be the deciding factor here and Tyson was faster than the predictable hard hitting Lyle.  I think that Lyle knocks Mike known early in the fight but Tyson gets up and lands an uppercut to Lyles chin ending matters in the 8th round.

I think Tyson was overated. I think that is probably due to the fact the division has been weak for a long time. When he was at his best, he was more dynamic than most of the fighters in the last 20 yrs. That is not to say he was the best in that time.

Lyle was a good fighter who got started late in the game. He was powerful, but not as quick as Mike. He also was KO'd 4 times in his career.

I think Lyle would have a punchers chance, but I think at Mike's best, he would be too quick for Ron.

Lyle threw a lot of looping punches, Mike might have got to him later in Lyle's career, but if the Lyle that fought Forman was in front of Mike, Mike would have Buster Douglas flash back while they were loading Mike onto the back board and wheeling him out to the ambulance.
