I just thought it would be great to see mike tyson in his prime if he fought in mma.. i believe he could be very good at it if he trained in mma when he was in prime and when he was young , and he has knock out power and speed, i think he's the greatest boxer in his prime but still many people argues what do you think?

  1. Tyson was a brilliant boxer, no doubt, and I have a lot of respect for him. But many HW mixed martial artists would completely dominate him. Unless Tyson trained very seriously in wrestling, ju-jitsu or the like, he would be very susceptible to takedowns and submissions, not to mention leg kicks and knee strikes from skilled Muay-Thai practitioners. This sort of scenario has played out many times; boxers, despite their striking skills, often remain too one-dimensional to make it far in MMA.

  2. I agree, even though Tyson in his prime was not formally trained in MMA, his ferocity and shear power was overwhelming.

  3. Gotta give it up for Tyson in 4oz gloves.  ouch.

No MMA fighter has ever had to counter that kind of devestating punching power.  With even a basic understanding of MMA grappling, Tyson would have been a force in his prime.

With no grappling, he wouldn't have been, but he would always have a chance of landing the one big shot.  Kind of an extra dangerous version of Tank Abbot.

  4. There were rumors that he was going to be in K-1 but it never happened.  The fight of Mike Tyson vs Ernesto Hoost could of been a huge draw.

  5. he was knockin ppl out wif 32oz gloves think if he had 8 or 4oz there b motionless bodies lol. i think hed do ok. but we will never know
