Arsenal midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mikel-Arteta-c25715 has admitted that he is quite disappointed with the way the Gunners played against Bolton Wanderers and hopes for the team to get their act together.
Arsenal suffered another massive blow, as the team failed to beat Bolton Wanderers.
As a result of the draw, the Gunners now find themselves sitting in the seventh spot in the league table, with a lot of work ahead of them to try and make it into the fourth spot.
The North London club had managed to pick up their pace as the season progressed, but they now find themselves right where they started.
Many believe that the team hasn’t been performing well due to the injuries that the team picked up, but Arteta feels that it is the team’s fault for performing so poorly.
With the Gunners sitting seventeen points behind the league leaders, the team can only hope of finishing in the top four, since things aren’t really looking up for them at the moment.
Arteta feels that Arsenal really need to pick themselves up, because they can’t have any excuses for the way they have been playing in 2012.
When reflecting on the game against Bolton, the Spaniard is quoted to have said:
"We had a lot of chances to win the game at Bolton, but once again we’ve not been good enough to take them and if you don’t take your chances it’s always going to be difficult.”
"It’s not good enough. We really need to start picking up points now. We’ve lost too many in the last two weeks."
Despite dominating the game against Bolton, the team couldn’t find a way to score a goal. This is not the first time that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 have suffered from such a problem, since the team has a history of not finishing games off.
In order for this season to end on a high for the team, Arsene Wenger really needs to try and get the best out of his team, or the Gunners season could be over sooner rather than later.
It is now a wait to see just how the team responds this weekend, after dropping eleven points in their last four Premier League games.
