The player admitted that the two midfielders had, had a brilliant run in with the Gunners, but now that they were gone, it was up to him and the rest of the squad to help the team progress forward and that is exactly what he is looking  to do.
"They were two top players for the club, they did really, really well in the last few years and now we have some new players coming in to try and make the same impact. I am sure we will"
Arteta was signed by Arsenal on the deadline day of the transfer window from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 and a fee or around ten million pounds is rumoured to have been just enough to help the player make the move to North London.
Arteta has then went on to claim that despite him looking to do his best for the team, it would take him and the rest of the new recruits some time to really adjust to the team, but hopefully they could do so sooner rather than later.
At the same time, Arteta emphasised on the fact that no one should expect him to be the same as Fabregas or Nasri, since his style of play is significantly different, when compared to the two players.
"I don't want the fans to be expecting the same as them because every player is different"
"We need some time to adapt as well, but I am sure that we will give everything we can to make this team better."
Arteta is now set to make his debut for Arsenal this coming weekend when the team takes on Swansea City. Despite the game seeming to be a rather easy one on paper, Arsene Wenger is not letting any of his players take the game too lightly. This is because
the Gunner suffered their worst defeat in over a hundred years prior to the international break and hence they really need to step their game up this coming weekend.
It is quite unclear as to what Wenger’s formation or starting line up is going to be this time around. The manager finally has ample players to pick from, but at the same time he will be looking to field the strongest starting eleven and Arteta is almost
guaranteed a spot in it.
