Mikes Dilemma surprises Eazy Dazzler in the Bags/SIS 500 Heat 3

Mikes Dilemma upset Eazy Dazzler to take victory in the 462 metres Bags/SIS 500 Heat 3 at Kinsley in England, on Sunday, January 15, 2012. The cash prize of winning the Grade A4 race was £62.
The winning dog had raced at the same venue last week, but failed to make an impression, finishing fourth that time around. He was better prepared this time, and left the rest of the pack well behind.
The interesting fact was that Mikes Dilemma’s finishing time last week was better than he managed in the latest race. Despite that, he was able to win and upset the race's favourite, Eazy Dazzler.
Mikes Dilemma had entered the race with a starting price of 11 to 4, and completed the total distance in 28.65 seconds. This result will certainly help him have a better rate next time around.
The triumphant hound is the son of Fortune Mike out of Kilhoran Lass, and was born in September 2008.
Eazy Dazzler tried her best, but was unable to come closer to the race winner in the end. She showed good speed, but lacked the stamina to continue the momentum she had gained at the start.
The second placed b***h covered the race distance in 28.92 seconds, after breaking in from trap number three. Her starting price was 6 to 4.
Eazy Dazzler is trained by H.H. Canning and is the daughter of College Causeway out of Razldazl Molly. She was born in October 2009.
Third place went to Hoffmans Scholes, trained by J G Hurst. He gave a tough time to the race favourite, but fell 0.04 seconds adrift of her, with a finishing time of 28.96 seconds.
Hoffmans Scholes was born in August 2008 and is the son of Droopys Scholes out of Hoffmans Tyrean.
The only other greyhound to finish the race inside the 28 seconds barrier was Grouchos Gringo, trained by S B Carrington.

He had a starting price of 7 to 1, and took the fourth position by just a head’s margin.
Grouchos Gringo is the son of Droopys Scholes out of Sydney Swan, and was born in December 2007.
The last two dogs, Scratch Man and King of Speed, were way behind the rest of the pack.
L.J. Wilson would have been pleased with the outcome of this race, as his trained dog was triumphant in the end. However, he will still be aiming to bring an improvement in his speed in upcoming races.
