Mikkel Kessler, the former WBO European super middleweight champion, collected an impressive debut light heavyweight win by knocking out Allan Green, the former WBO NABO super middleweight champion, in the fourth round of the 12-round bout held on May 19,
2012.
The Danish veteran Kessler was making a comeback after the gap of almost 10 months and proved by grabbing the WBC Silver light heavyweight title that he still has the power in his fists and agility in his footwork that can outclass even the best men in the
division.
Mikkel, 33, was entering in his career’s 47th bout and possessed a clear upper hand in almost all the significant facets of the sport. The former super middleweight brawler, Kessler, boasted 44 wins and a huge 34 of them via knockout. He has lost just two
bouts in his long illustrious career and proudly resides in the top five world rankings.
His Saturday night opponent, Allan, 32, was no match for him as he was entering in his career’s 35th bout. The American proud boasted 31 wins with 21 via knockout. Despite the fact that Green, also known as the ‘Ghost Dog’, possesses an impressive resume
still he stood no chance in front of the Danish pounder.
With superior knockout ability, an intimidating win-ratio, the desire to make a huge comeback and a hefty resume, Kessler was ready to rattle the light heavyweight division.

After the impressive comeback win, Kessler remarked, “This was a great victory for me. I had to get rid of the ring rust in the first round. But once I got going, everything went according to plan. I am glad I could give my fans a spectacular victory. Their
support was fantastic.”
Kessler is now the WBC Silver light heavyweight champion and has grabbed his 34th knockout and 45th career win. Allan, on the other hand, has received his fourth career loss and second via knockout.
