Mikkel Kessler super confident against Robert Stieglitz – Boxing news
The Viking Warrior, Mikkel Kessler, who is a former three-time world champion and two-time World Boxing Association’s and World Boxing Council’s Super Middleweight champion, is super confident ahead of his mega showdown against the current World Boxing Organisation’s
Super middleweight world champion, Robert Stieglitz.
Kalle Sauerland of Kessler promoter Sauerland Events and SES Boxing promoter Ulf Steinforth, who represents Stieglitz, were having pretty difficult negotiations since long but now the problems between Kessler and Stieglitz bout have finally been fixed as
Sauerland confirmed it. He in the meanwhile also vowed his fighter will win the bout.
“The negotiations with SES Boxing and Robert Stieglitz have been tough but now everything is in place,” Sauerland said. “I am sure that Mikkel will accomplish his goal and become world champion for a fourth time.”
The 32-year-old from Denmark, Kessler, who will now take on the 30-year-old German pugilist Stieglitz for a 168-pound title on November 5, 2011 at the PARKEN Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark, on the same note also remarked he will easily outpoint his opponent
on the fight night.
Kessler, who has won 44 of his 46 professional fights, with 33 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, claimed in front of the media that he has never been defeated in his native country, Denmark, and it will stay the same this time as well.
“I have never lost a fight in Denmark. It will be no different this time. It can promise my fans a h**l of an evening with me leaving the ring as the winner,” Kessler claimed.
Though Kessler admitted Stieglitz is a good fighter, he said everything will be over once he steps in the ring with him.
“I have a lot of respect for Robert Stieglitz,” Kessler said. “He has a very good record and he is a deserving world champion. But his reign will be over once we meet in the ring.”
Let’s see if Mikkel Kessler can really beat Robert Stieglitz in the ring as Stieglitz has also lost only twice in his 41 professional fights as of yet.
