Milan Jovanovic, the 30-year-old Liverpool winger, revealed he had been given the green light by the Reds to start looking for a new club. League since last year.
Unfortunately for him, Jovanovic was one of Rafa Benitez’s early signings. With the departure of the Spaniard shortly after, the Serbian international was barely given a chance to feature under Roy Hodgson or Kenny Dalglish.
Jovanovic admitted he had received interest from Anderlecht, Club Brugge, Schalke and Stuttgart but was most likely to end up at Olympiakos. He revealed the Greek side matches his ambitions and that he would be happy there.
Jovanovic said while speaking to the media:
“I got the paper from Liverpool that I am free to search for a new club.
Up to now, I still haven't received an official offer from Olympiakos, but I am looking forward to hearing their plans.”
