Milan Kadlec claimed an overall victory at the Tour of Taihu Lake 2012
After his tremendous performance to win the opening stage of the Tour of Taihu Lake, Milan Kadlec continuous builds up on his lead to bag an overall victory at race.
He took a total time of 22 hours, 10 minutes and 26 seconds and occupied the top podium position after the final general classifications.
Floris Goesinnen of Team Drapac Cycling finished 10 seconds behind at the second position with Ki Ho Choi of Team Hong Kong falling further 5 seconds behind at the third position.
King Lok Cheung of Team Hong Kong and David McCann of Team RTS Racing finished at the fourth and fifth positions in the respective order.
The 38-year-old was overjoyed with the win and thanked his colleagues for their endless support throughout the race.
"It crowns an incredible season for me and our team,” he said.
“In my career, I had collected all places at the national Czech championship including three times second but I never won it until this year”.
He further added that, “As a team, we've won a lot of races. It's a pleasure to see this team growing and performing. It's the result of five years of work all together”.
“This group of riders has an excellent level on flat courses like here. Alois came second overall last year, I win the Tour of Taihu this year, we're delighted,” Kadlec concluded.
Alois Kankovsky of Team ASC Dukla Praha bagged the maximum number of 66 points and topped the point’s classifications at the race with Benjamin Giraud of Team La Pomme Marseille (62 points) and Alexander Serebryakov of Team Type1-Sanofi (57 points) achieving
the next two positions.
Leonid Krasnov of Team Rusvelo and Sebastian Korber of Team Nutrixxion Abus achieved the fourth and the fifth positions in the respective order.
Ko Ho Choi was given the best regional rider award after a marvelous display of abilities by the young Hong Kong rider.
King Lok Cheung and Meiyin Wang achieved the second and the third positions with a deficit of 2 and 57 seconds.
Ki Ho Choi, King Lok Cheung, Robbie Hucker, Benjamin Sydlik and Roman Maykin were the top five young riders after the final young rider’s classifications.
Team La Pomme Marseille wins the final team’s classifications with Team ASC Dukla Praha, Team Drapac Cycling, Team Hong Kong and RusVelo achieving the next four positions in the respective order.
